Trends we will add to our 2023 wardrobe

Next year, will be the right time to proudly show our imperfections and to embrace them, celebrating our uniqueness with pride and joy. Let’s see in detail all the trends that will be appearing soon in our wardrobes.

It’s been a year full of events and extraordinary runways that left us speechless (have you seen the Coperni show with the “spray-on” dress?) but now it’s time to collect the ideas to understand what we’ll be wearing next year. 2023 fashion is all about celebrating the body and individuality; that’s why we’ll see a lot of transparencies, second-skin garments and lingerie used as day-to-day wear.

Top clothing trends for 2023

As we told you, 2023 will be all about our bodies, so we will see a lot of sheer and detailed garments that will highlight our femininity. These accents will help us rediscover a new sensuality. 2023 will be the year of individuality and uniqueness, so we will see contrasts in on-trend styles, for example, combining a hyper-feminine blouse with cargo trousers. It’s time to let our voice out, and clothes will be our most infallible means of communication to let our inner selves out.

Trends in jeans and trousers

  • Cargo pants
  • Following the utility and military trend, cargo pants will be everywhere next year. Low or high-waisted, in the classic military green or in fluor colours, in soft cotton or in satin, there’s a cargo for everyone. We are ready to embrace this trend and let them become our favourite pants.

  • Denim
  • it has never left our wardrobes, but with 2023 approaching, denim becomes more than a casual garment: it is spreading in all styles, assuming different shapes according to the occasion. It can be perfect for a classic office look, matched with a shirt and a blazer; and it can be worn for a night out, with glitter details applied on the fabric, paired with a mesh top.

    Trends in coats

  • Blazer
  • The most classic version of this garment is no longer so classic. Suits are deconstructed and blazers take on a new meaning. You will now see them worn as a light coat to complete your looks, becoming more and more popular even among women who prefer a sportier style.

    Camel coat

The classic camel coat is reinterpreted in different materials and other less usual shades, from the warmest and most enveloping to cognac notes. Ideal to complete a total colour look or to wear as a statement piece.

    Trends in skirts and dresses

  • Second skin dresses
  • These are the best items to rediscover an intimate femininity that will be the leitmotiv for 2023. They can also be very practical and adapt to every occasion and style. You can add a blazer or a biker, or you can wear them with heels or sneakers, either in a neutral or bold colour. Find the perfect one for you!

  • Skirts
  • Mini, midi, maxi, they are back, and they are here to stay. Often considered unpractical, most of the women are now rediscovering skirts as the best way to express and empower themselves and not as a symbol of the lower status of the woman against the man. A comeback of femininity in all its shapes and forms!

Trends in shoewear and accessories for 2023

    Trends in shoewear

  • Pumps with socks
  • If this year has taught us that it’s OK to leave the house with clogs and socks, now we have to transform this in a more feminine way. Plus, what expresses your true self better than a pair of coloured and funny socks? In 2023, wear them with your pumps, or sling back shoes to make your looks more interesting.

  • Gothic style
  • Mirror of the dark times that we are experiencing but also an exorcism of an unpredictable future. We have seen a lot of black and leather on the catwalks, with austerity but also in dark-futuristic looks, expressed in high-knee boots and highly detailed shoes that become a work of art.

    Trends in bags

  • Fringes
  • They follow us at every movement, dancing as we move and walk. What better way to celebrate the body than by adding some fringes to our look? Once a symbol of boho style, they are now reinterpreted by all designers to become a key element with which we can make our most basic looks a little more special.

  • Mini bags
  • If there is something that brings together the male and female wardrobes, it is definitely the mini bag. From the neck, wrist, glasses holder or just as an accessory to complete the look, its function is to arouse the interest of the people who looking at you will ask “What are you carrying in there?”

Trends to say goodbye in 2023

If 2023 is all about uniqueness and individuality, so we are ready to leave all the trends that didn’t allow us to express ourselves behind. For example, the full-logo looks belong to the past; we don’t want our style to be associated with just one brand. We want to start mixing and customising to create our own style. We will also leave behind the pastel, soft colours that dominated this year: lilac and lavender to leave the place to bolder shades, specifically green and magenta, which will be the main colours for 2023, representing a new hope for the future and a brighter, more optimistic way to see the world after some years of negative events.
