Your ideal jean is out there somewhere in the world, and although it seems hard to come across a perfectly fitting piece of denim, it’s 100% possible. Once you do, you’ll rejoice knowing you can walk with total confidence.
Our Personal Shoppers have gathered some tips that will help every woman find the jean of her dreams. Let’s go find your perfect pair!

Jeans That Conceal Hips

For women who were blessed with curvy frames, your denim should be straight-cut and high-rise. This style will do wonders for your shape and will show off your hourglass silhouette when paired with a jumper and a maxi coat (as we did here). Try a wide-leg jean too; it balances out larger thighs and hips.

Enhance Legs and hips

If your mission is the opposite, go for skinny jeans with a high rise preferably, as its body-hugging properties will add femininity and definition to hips and calves legs. Here we created a workwear look by pairing up a print blouse and a long blazer, the stilettos will add extra femininity and streamline your shape.

Regardless of your denim choice, it’s advisable to pair up your jeans it with a straight or loose fitting top to balance out the lower half.

Mom-jeans for the hourglass shape

Hourglass figures look best in denim jeans with a straight cut, mid-rise and hint of stretch. This style will take in your waist and create a contoured line over hips and thighs, accentuating your curves beautifully.

Mom jeans are a usually a great style for this body type. Opt for fitted tops to enhance your curves even more. And if it’s cold outside we suggest an oversized jacket that lands just at the waist to enhance it more. Throw on medium heel ankle boots and you’re good to go!

Slim and rectangular figure

If you’re skinny, don’t hesitate to play with volume. Opt for low-rise skinny jeans or try on a flared style, they’re great for adding volume and balance to the lower half. Watch out for tight fitting tops as they can make you look even skinnier and disproportionate. Always choose straight garments with a soft fluid fall to them. Dare to wear shoulder pads, fringes and billowing shoulders for example.

We suggest matching your flare jeans with a blouse that has a large print, and then adding western-style ankle boots. Check out how we did it here!

Short & Petite

If you’re under 1,60 this jean is also for you. Straight-cut jeans are the most recommended style for short women because the way they fit the legs creates a lengthening visual effect. Opt for high-rise to make the legs look even longer. These styles also make hips look smaller and legs slimmer, which overall gives the illusion of being taller.

Always wear them a good pair of heels and steer clear of oversized or baggy tops, as they will make you look shorter.
