Classic, elegant and warm, burgundy has everything to succeed when temperatures drop. Take this colour in your day to day life mixing it with your basics or try a total look for your most festive plans. In any case, you will always be perfect for any plan with the following tips.

What’s burgundy?

Burgundy is an opaque red mixed with a subtle purple tone. Its name comes from the french region of Burgundy, famous for its red wines.

This colour transmits elegance, sobriety, sensuality, passion and love.

Neutral colours are always a fail-safe choice when going for that chic look. Combining textures will do the rest. A thick grey knitted jumper and a burgundy suede skirt make for a stylish outfit. Add a masculine coat in a darker grey to create contrast, and complete your look with black ankle boots.

Burgundy and khaki: down to earth

If your goal is sobriety, burgundy and khaki are the best choice. These two dark tones will help you achieve a sophisticated look. Wear a burgundy midi dress and a masculine coat in khaki to your next dinner out. Ankle boots in the same burgundy colour will complete your look. With this outfit, your figure will even look more slender.

Burgundy and navy: a casual meeting

Burgundy and navy are your allies when it comes to casual outfits. For a perfect everyday look, choose a burgundy ribbed knitted top, boyfriend trousers and navy feathers. Put on your burgundy trainers or ankle boots and you’re ready to go.

Burgundy and gold: a brilliant choice

In love with metallic colours? You are in luck: gold and burgundy look fantastic together. Combine a burgundy laced jumper and a golden plaid skirt for the perfect balance between laid-back and chic. With trainers and a biker jacket, your look will be more casual. Ideal for work and to wear in your free time. If you are looking for a smart look, combine a burgundy jumpsuit with golden accessories. You cannot go wrong.

Burgundy and black: elegance meets sophistication

It’s no surprise that black is in this list. In combination with burgundy, it’s elegant, sophisticated and fashionable. A knitted sweater and waxed trousers in burgundy are a winning combo. It creates a vertical line that will make your figure look more slender. By adding a black faux-shearling coat and black ankle boots, your outfit will be all the rage.

Would burgundy suit me?

If your colorimetry is cold (Winter), cold and bright (Summer) or intensely warm (Autumn), you are in luck: burgundy is for you. The key is choosing the hue that will flatter our features.

Winter harmonies

If your colour season is Winter, wine tones are ideal for you. Intense cold colours are your best allies.

Summer harmonies

If your tones are closer to Summer, you may choose a softer burgundy, to match the rest of the soft colours that suit you so well.

Autumn harmonies

Finally, if your colour season is Autumn, go for earth tones and a burgundy tending to terracotta. A fantastic choice that will make you feel fabulous.

I looking forward to the colour Terracotta in my box as that falls into my colour pallet in Burgundy. A warm winter crew jumper or a heavy silky bow tie blouse , or a straight leg trouser . A print match in those colour hues I would love to try . Something Iv never done before .
